I am drawn in two different directions with animals. There is the captivating love between the owner and pet that is endearing and the urge to capture that in art is irresistible. And then there is the animal’s own mystic and lore that is steeped in cultural tradition and lasted for generations. I am compelled to explore some of that mythology and glean bits of wisdom that might help guides us as we move forward from the present.
